<p align="center"><em>The Haywood County Rescue Squad, Inc. is an all volunteer, paramedic level service located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.  Consisting of around 40 volunteers, the Haywood County Rescue Squad offers services such as back-up emergency medical services for Haywood EMS, and responds to a variety of emergency situations, including vehicle accidents; motor vehicle, farm, and industrial machinery extrication; search and rescue operations; swiftwater rescue; high and low angle rescue; trench rescue and confined space rescue.  The Haywood County Rescue Squad has always been closely involved with the community, and continues to participate in many community and public relations events </em><em>throughout the county.</em></p>

<p>The Haywood County Rescue Squad is celebrating 50 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Haywood County.  Celebration festivities are planned for November 8th, 2008 at the Haywood County Fairgounds.  Anyone is invited to attend this free of charge celebration.  Join us in remembering what has made the Haywood County Rescue Squad such a wonderful organization.
